Matrix owns 12 manufactured home communities in Michigan, 10 in the Detroit and Flint area, the other two are in Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo. My responsibilities include collecting, reviewing and submitting weekly reports from all 12 communities in our region. I work directly with our local regional staff assisting them with projects. I handle the collection of payroll numbers and review them for accuracy and submit to HR twice a month. I also speak with residents, vendors and others to help resolve issues they are having. I also assist with organizing regional meetings which happen every 2 months and scheduling hotel stays for our corporate officials when they come to Detroit from New York. I also review sale documents to insure for accuracy prior to applying for the title to the home with the Secretary of State

As a Senior Closing Agent, my main responsibility is auditing lease and sale packages, completed and sent in from the over 180 communities Sun owns throughout the United States, for completeness and complying with SOX regulations. Other responsibilities include creating manual leases and entering the charges for our lease residents who pay on a weekly basis, and answering general questions about procedures in the Closing Department. Set up commissions for sales staff, approved them to be released and at times, sent the reports to payroll to be paid. I also assisted in training new hires and assist with instructing our new managers and office coordinators in proper document preparation. Experience with Yardi.

My main responsibility was to prepare closing packages to send to title companies. The closing packages were for customers of our wholesale mortgage brokers. After the title companies closed the sale or refinance, packages were reviewed for accuracy. Once all items were received, I authorized the release of funds. I worked my way up from being a temporary receptionist to data entry and rate lock positions into the closing department within 2 years of hire.Our office was closed in May 2006 prior to Washington Mutual's collapse in September 2008.
