Responsible for overall coordination and management of all technical issues (at both head and site offices) and close support on E&S issues to develop the 216MW – Upper Trishuli -1 Hydropower Project in Nepal. The main responsibility includes providing technical leadership and managing the in-house technical team, Lenders Technical Advisor (Stantec/USA), Lenders Technical Team (IFC/ADB and other 7 Lenders), Owner's Engineer (Tractebel/Germany, Jade Consult/Nepal), EPC Contractor (Doosan/South Korea), and Sub-Contractors (Power China/China, Andritz/Austria/India) for the design and site construction works. Additional responsibilities include review and approval of different technical submittals, payments, development of the project management systems and procedures, monitoring of the project progress, etc.The project is being developed by NWEDC, an SPV company, promoted by KOEN, KEXIM (from South Korea), IFC, and Nepalese promoter with 9 international lenders (IFC, ADB, AIIB, KExim, KSure, CDC, FMO, Proparco, OFID).Project key data: RoR, Installed capacity 216MW, Annual Energy ~1,456GWh, design flow 76m3/s, gross head 340m, about 10km long 6.5m dia. circular tunnel including underground powerhouse.

The main responsibilities include providing technical leadership to the project team at the head office and site office, supervising and monitoring ongoing construction works at the site, support on local and social issues, coordinate with the government and other relevant authorities. Additional responsibilities include technical review and approval of study reports, value engineering studies, and verifications, negotiations, and finalization of the EPC, O&M, LTA, and OE contracts terms and conditions by coordinating with project sponsors, lenders, lender’s technical & legal advisor, Insurance company, etc. to achieve the project financial closure.

Responsible for the overall coordination and development, technical and managerial support of ILF Group’s hydropower business in South East Asian countries including Bhutan and Nepal. The main objective of the research work was to examine the effect of hydraulic structures on river morphodynamics and sediment transport in the river. Main responsibilities includes: data collection, field verification, sediment sampling, and laboratory analysis in addition to simulation of 2D numerical (hydrodynamics and morphodynamics) model based on the Delft3D code. Effect of the Koshi Barrage and embankments of the braided Koshi River (Nepal) was selected to examine for the proposed objectives.
