Spring 2020 Design ProjectI am leading a team of 7 talented students, spread across the United States, in a design project whose goal is to improve both the process of priming a particular production part and the design of the physical system which will accomplish this goal. My role in the team is primarily delivering a vision, coordinating efforts, planning, research, and CAD modeling, although we all contribute equally to the team. I have accomplished this through being technical, professional, detail-oriented, working closely with my teammates, and recognizing/applying my team's specific strengths to deliver a top-notch design within a relatively short time.As a team, we have utilized self-reflection and external feedback to continuously improve our process over the semester. We also make use of modern technology and multiple channels of communication to work together, even though we are separated by great physical distance.--Fall 2019 Design ProjectOur team is tasked with designing an enclosure to protect a lubricant system from dust contamination in one of the processing plants operated by Cliffs Natural Resources. Initially, I served as Documentation Lead, ensuring our meeting details were kept up to date, measurements were interpreted and noted properly, and assisting with the design of the actual enclosure. Currently, I am taking on the project manager role, leading my team by asking for feedback and making sure we are staying on task. I help all my teammates with any questions they have to the best of my ability to ensure an optimal solution at the end of each design cycle. Presently, we are reworking our design to better fit our client's needs.

Worked with technicians and leads to develop a faster changeover process for offset press using lean strategies; pushed for sharing of experience and knowledge between crews for increased productivity.Currently integrating material lift systems into existing die-cutting machines and large offset press to hoist supplies and change-of-die materials, keeping an eye on cost, safety requirements, and improved ergonomics.Finished my internship developing a standard set-up procedure for the gluing process, improving quality in the Finishing department.

Developed a training guide for new technicians by researching PDM databases and working closely with various personnel to gain knowledge of composites fabrication, metal fabrication, on- and off-aircraft assembly, and electrical assembly. Learned the basics of Jira and Solumina.

My job was to lead a diverse and valuable team to deliver excellent customer service, and help earn a great reputation for the company as a face that interacted directly with customers. In order to do this, I encouraged my colleagues to work with customers in a friendly and solution-oriented manner so that they almost always left satisfied with the service. I often offered my own feedback to my manager about ways to optimize time spent on weekly tasks such as inventory replenishment and planograms, as well as discussions with my manager about how to improve our customer service based on feedback from surveys.I led my shifts by example and worked to ensure my colleagues had what they needed to do their job. If they didn't know how to do something, I always encouraged any questions, no matter how simple. I frequently helped colleagues with issues or questions they had about vendors, schedules, payroll, and general store operations.
