Manufacturing Engineer
Current· Lead manufacturing engineer for floor scales, forklift scales, and livestock scales· Works closely with design engineering and production staff to ensure products are made proficiently and meet required specifications· Informs upper management of areas of work-flow deficiencies, providing both explanations and solutions to the problems· Practices active listening and collaboration with the employees that are directly influenced by my decisions and leadership· Proposed and executed design changes with the forklift scale that allowed the assembly time of the products to be cut in half with little change to any other process· Designed and implemented two alternate welding steps for the livestock scale to aid another department that was the bottleneck of production· Proposed and awaiting approval to automate the calibration process of the forklift scale, helping to line-balance the manufacturing
