During my time at the University of Alabama in the Honors College, I worked as an undergraduate research assistant studying Parkinson's disease in an animal model. I will be a published author on multiple scientific papers before the end of this year. With my biology degree, I plan to enter medical school and many of my experiences reflect that goal. I have shadowed numerous physicians across different fields of medicine. I also worked as a pharmacy technician to become more familiar with that side of the healthcare system. My volunteer work has mainly focused on helping underresourced children both in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and in VIMA, Ghana through an organization called Village Book Builders.
