As the Area Manager, I am responsible for hiring, managing, training, and evaluating a team of 10 inspectors. I am responsible for setting team goals, monitoring efficiency, and guiding the team to create the best work flow.Conduct energy testing on new homes, including blower door tests, duct leakage tests, and other diagnostic tests to measure energy efficiency and identify areas for improvement.Perform site inspections to ensure that construction meets building codes and energy efficiency standards.Work closely with builders, contractors, and other stakeholders to communicate findings and provide recommendations for improving energy efficiency.Maintain accurate records of all testing and inspection activities.Keep up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes related to energy efficiency and sustainability.

I am RFI and E Star certified. As an Energy Inspector I do a wide variety of things which include performance testing and performing post-improvement inspections on homes that have been improved by home performance contractors. I also complete tasks to conduct, observe and assist building diagnostics on residential homes, develop reports, and various other tasks related to the home performance testing field.Primary Responsibilities:• Conducting blower door testing.• Conducting combustion safety testing.• Performing ventilation testing.• Duct leakage testing.• Preparing home performance reports, and recommendations.• Performing infrared scanning.• Meeting home owners and contractors to discuss building science of homes.
