As the Federal Policy Coordinator, I aid in the scheduling and tracking of meetings for the director and senior associate, assist in Second Chance Pell and Postsecondary Education programming efforts, and attend Hill meetings, briefings, panel discussions, and other events pertaining to the interests of the Government Affairs team. Provided supplemental research, citation checking, and website copy entry for the Vera Institute of Justice's 2018 State of Justice Reform project. This project looks at major trends and developments justice related that occurred within 2018. The project is essentially a news aggregation, with an added section that looks at the hottest media content from the year (Best of 2018). Topics include immigration, youth justice, reentry, bail, policing, sentencing, and more.
