As a senior at Ohio University studying Accounting, Business Management, and Pre-Law I thrive on detail-oriented work, grasp concepts quickly, and am not afraid to ask questions. Throughout high school, holding a management position at my family business required me to be held at a higher standard than the average teen. At sixteen, I was granted the privilege to sit in on board meetings as well as conferences. Upon graduation, I spent the next two summers helping with the development of a new product that was unveiled at the end of 2018. Those experiences, coupled with the business having to outsource for an accountant, laid the foundation for my interest in the two fields. Throughout college, my courses, my professors, and my extracurricular activities have helped develop skills and values I hold dearly. Within my fraternity (Alpha Epsilon Pi), I have held the role of Secretary, Risk Manager, and Treasurer. This helped develop my attention to detail, crisis management, and budget skills. In addition, I served as the Vice President of Programming for Ohio University's Inter-fraternity Council enabling me to prepare programming for over 2,500 Greek life members. Finally, joining the SOX 404 Fellows granted me the opportunity to further my accounting skills with real-life application. All of my involvement has given me a passion for getting involved early, learning from past failures, and improving my soft skills. I plan to further my education by obtaining my Masters of Accountancy from Ohio University during the 2020/2021 school year and taking my CPA exam shortly thereafter.
