My role in this position was working severity-two, weather-related fire claims. I handle claims involving homeowners, renters, manufactured home, and rental dwelling policies. I also handled more complex foreclosure claims submitted by mortgage companies and lien holders. These claims are submitted on behalf of the financial companies by third-party claim servicers. I enjoy my work and appreciate the opportunity to help people on a daily basis. I also serve as a team leader and a resource for my department. I am really excited to be a part of the future state of our company, and I look forward to adding value to the enterprise for years to come.

Uninsured Collection Agency: I processed claim assignments to collection agencies to recover indemnity from the responsible parties who caused the loss to our policyholder. This was a very interesting position in which I learned the importance of thorough claim handling and investigation throughout the entire claim file life cycle. The more information and evidence we could add to our liability assessment, the better the chance of recovery. This is an extremely important role in an insurance company and is typically the biggest revenue producing department after premiums and investments.
