Compared the impact of polyrope stiffness on mooring chain fatigue and determined there was a 25.3% underapproximation in damage when compared to a Static-Dynamic stiffness. Developed a MATLAB library to pre and post process FPSO and FOWT mooring simulations using OrcaFlex API. Concluded company established polyester rope stiffness when compared to ABS criteria is accurate within 5% of mean tension and 2% of mooring offset. Developed MATLAB programs to dynamically update mooring leg length based on polyrope loading to ensure accurate loading.
