Until this year, I was sole proprietor of SCE, and would generally work on a freelance contract basis. From local film and theater productions, to Los Angeles, to China, to India, I have had the pleasure of working and teaching in the entertainment arts, specifically practical effects. Although I am happiest as a sculptor, I have found a true passion for (film) set-life as well as the role of teacher. (Please see my website and IMDB account.)It is the mission of SCE, and thereby my personal objective, to always put the story first. Whatever I/we can do to best tell the story, it will be done. Whether its a mask for the ballet or a horde of creatures from beyond, SCE has you covered.

My partnership with Dirty Hands has run from film projects to mannequins for display, à la Madame Tussauds of Bollywood. Throughout India and beyond, we have created prosthetics and creatures for various productions in the Bollywood and South Indian film markets.

As Studio Director, it was my task to build a studio with the capacity to fulfill the character needs of the park. I had the pleasure of managing a staff of very talented artists with the unique objective of creating the material content for our nightly performances. We created props, creature suits, puppets, masks, prosthetics, merchandise etc. needed by the company. My job was to translate the imagination of the ‘story team’ into practical builds and manage the very tight schedule between seasons, to ensure that the deadlines were met. Additionally, it was the responsibility of the studio team to install and maintain character assets, mechanized & puppet characters, and scenic installations. With four themed seasons per year, we met huge expectations.

As a teacher:I was tasked with teaching, with the aid of a translator, 50 Chinese students complete character creation from concept to completion. The course was 6 weeks long.As an artist:I was contracted to sculpt number of character heads and prosthetics for Chinese film and television.
