The position of Journeyman Logistics Analyst provided me the fulfilling opportunity to support United States Marine Corps, PfM Ground Combat Element Systems, PM Infantry Weapons' various programs throughout the acquisition life cycle. My team and I provided technical expertise and assisted in the creation of various program documents in response to customer needs including fielding, new equipment training, and sustainment in accordance with DoD 5000.02. Within this role I was required to simultaneously manage multiple task orders for varying projects, consistently deliver products on time while handling constantly changing customer demands, and be able to clearly and concisely communicate with the customer on a regular basis to build a strong working relationship.

My position of Procurement Agent with The Boeing Company has awarded me the opportunity to further my knowledge and skills within the supply chain field in the aerospace defense industry. The position presented a new set of challenges which I eagerly accepted as I transitioned from material management to purchasing. During my time I acted as the sole procurement agent on the General Dynamics major subcontracts group in support of the Arrow III program. The duties of my role included preparation of RFP/RFQs, negotiating high value procurements, maintenance of contract, building strong supplier relationships, and understanding Federal Acquisition Regulations and Boeing internal procedures.

Movement into this position within Eberspaecher has continued to expand my experience within the supply chain field and automotive business sector. During my first calendar year as a material planner I contributed to the maintenance of record low inventory amounts by organizing efficient delivery schedules in line with Eberspaecher's just-in-time (JIT) production strategies. I successfully managed the accounts of 12 domestic and 15 international suppliers through normal day-to-day operations, as well as the launch of two new product lines and our facility's first vertical integration effort. I also gained additional experience through involvement with other key areas of our supply chain such as; purchasing, warehouse management, production scheduling, special builds/engineering, packaging, and sequencing.

My time with Eberspaecher has thrust me into multiple projects that have given me valuable insight into the different facets of the automotive manufacturing industry. The most laudable of these projects is the conversion of one of the weld cell clusters to a lean manufacturing environment. We developed this conversion through the use of PFEPs, Standard Work Analyses, and Employee Involvement Programs. The conversion is projected to result in annual saving of over $680,000. I have also taken lead on a reorganization project aimed at reducing inventory losses by implementing 5S principles within our maintenance parts room. I was a team member on a project to introduce metal stamping to the plant, a potential savings of over $400,000. The spreadsheet I developed for this project showed the feasibility of producing all parts necessary to meet one year of demand, and lead to the eventual approval of the project.

I served as the principal Graduate Research Assistant for the newly formed Service Marketing concentration within the Marketing Department. Within this role I acted as the team leader for multiple student run projects with companies including Cintas and Subway. These projects helped outline the process flows of each company including customer points of contact and support operations, as well as identify possible issues and create suggestions for improvement.

While at the Home-Towne Suites in Tuscaloosa, AL, I was able to continue to hone my abilities as a Guest Services Representative by not only relying on my previous experience, but also learning about new aspects of the hospitality industry I had yet to encounter. While my everyday operations mirrored those of my time at the Craddock-Terry, I was able to practice some quality control principles in consulting with my manager about ways to improve the housekeeping standards within the hotel.

My time at the Craddock-Terry Hotel & Event Center gave me a great opportunity to get some real hands on experience in customer service. My regular duties included interacting with customers through a variety of media including in-person, over the telephone, and over email. As a young professional at the time the opportunities to grow my sales and interpersonal abilities were invaluable. Along with my regular activities I also worked alongside management to improve the hotel's social media pages to increase traffic with noticeable results.
