Passionate about studying, embodying, and advancing traditions of Black radical political thought in relation to Black education, my intellectual project considers how Black people have envisioned a project of education beyond the normative United States schooling system and explores how such a vision of education can be a strategy and tactic for liberation.I explore how alternative Black education spaces can serve as a collective tool to combat various forms of oppression and defy the dominant paradigm of individualized economic advancement and the exploitative, capitalist racist aims of statecraft in the U.S. schooling system.
