As a senior member of staff at Virgin Media, I had many roles.My core role was dealing with customer queries and technical issues, logging calls on a citrix system, ensuring KPI targets were met and adhering to OFCOM regulations.My additional roles as a senior member of staff were to support and help under-performing staff achieve targets and KPIs, train them with additional knowledge they needed for their job, look after teams when managers were away and look after teams when trialing new software or dealing with new issues.During my time at Virgin I trialed many systems and new processes for the company, worked as part of the Networks Support Teams or 2nd Line and created documentation for training. The best part of working for Virgin as a senior member of staff was seeing team members I worked with achieve targets for the first time in years and turning around customers who had a previous bad experience or ongoing issue that I helped resolve.

As a cellarman my responsibilities included Stock control, recieving and recording deliveries manually and via the stock taking system, conducting stock rotation and ensuring the bars were adequately stocked for the night. During the night when I was supervising I moved stock from stores to bars during quieter periods to ensure that there was enough stock to cover sales and change barrels accordingly. As a supervisor, primarily of the floor I was involved with ensuring the safety of staff and customers by ensuring hazards were removed quickly, fire exits were clear of any obstructions and any issues reported to the managers. I supervised upto 9 floor staff at any given time ensuring they were carrying out their duties to the best of their abilities. I was also responsible for ordering dry goods for the bars, training fire safety, COSHH, and manual handling as well as the usual glass collecting and cleaning jobs that were a routine.
