SAfAIDs is a regional organisation working on SRHR, HIV, Gender and Human Rights within SADC. For 16 years I was the Executive Director of SAfAIDs whose work included Knowledge Management, Advocacy and Capacity Building of communities. My core skills include; Leadership and Management, Resource Mobilisation, Strategy Development and Program Design, Financial Management and Governance. I have served on several boards and the UN Secretary General Task force for Adolescent Girls and Young Women and the UN African Think Tank on Human rights and Social Justice.

Harare, Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe HIV Prevention program was a USAID 5year funded program in which we build the capacity of church leaders to fight HIV from the pulpit. Through the program we trained faith based leaders and their wives to become champions who speak about HIV and address stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV. We successfuly mobilised over 25 churches, developed appropriate training materials and made a first break through into the Apostolic sector of Zimbabwe.

I was responsible for managing a USAID funded contract for 5 years on Institutional Capacity building of local HIV NGOs and Leadership Development of NGO directors and managers. We successfully developed and used the OCAT tool to assess organisation capacity, develop OD work plans and support organisations to undergo change processes. I was part of a team that trained NGO leaders on Leadership and Management, Board development and Project Management and Sustainability for 15 national NGOs

Zimbabwe

Profit Project was a USAID funded project responsible for expanding family planning services into the private sector. We build the capacity of private pharmacies, clinics and companies to deliver family planning services through trainng of service providers and providing equipment. We implemented an 18 months campaign to encourage the public to access family planning from the private sector at a fee.

Family Planning Clinical Trainer for nurses, doctors and community based pill distributors on Sexual Reproductive Health, Family Planning methods, HIV, Health Communication, and Campaigns. Later I was promoted to focus on promoting family planning in the private sector.
