In this role I acted as the first point of contact between the company and clients. Responsibilities include:Setting up hotels on Bookassist's systems and training hotels in the use of the systems.Answering general support queries from our hotel clients over phone and email.Managing cms and helping hotels with website changes .Providing internal support for sales, account management and online marketing functions within the company.Liaising with sales and account management teams to ensure the best technical setups are rolled out to clients.

I was responsible for the running of the Bewleys Hotel Group Global Distribution Systems (GDS) desk. My responsibilities included:·The maintenance of all 3rd party websites and GDS channels, along with Bewleys own website.·Uploading of all hotel information, creation of necessary new room types for promotions and maintenance of these.·Working with the 3rd party websites to find effective ways of increasing revenue while maintaining parity across the websites.·Primary contact for all website co-ordinators and for all in-house reservation agents.·Escalation point for all 3rd party website user related issues.·Working with the group revenue manager to implement any changes required. ·Daily pick-up reports, which are communicated to all stakeholders.·Quality reporting of site generated revenues to relevant parties. ·Forecasting reports for each hotel twice weekly to monitor pickup.·Annual negotiated rate loading for each hotel

This job entailed the day to day running of the reservations department within the hotel. I managed two employees within this department. Focus was on maximizing revenue and occupancy for the company and overseeing all bookings from group and individual to in-house conferences.

GDS operative: This job entailed the management and maintenance of electronic sales channels for the chain of hotels under the Jury’s Doyle name. I.e. the various websites with which we were affiliated. I also dealt with the loading of availability and rates across the group and management of corporate rates.Other duties included the processing of reservations from the different websites. Central Reservations Agent :Primarily I took reservations for the group via telephone however other duties included dealing with bookings from the various other channels such as fax, email, internet, Travel agents etc. Emphasis was on reaching revenue targets and the maintenance of high standards was heavily focused on through monitoring of calls and review of overall performance.
