My life experience has been a journey of self discovery and artistic expression in a professional capacity, my personal life and continued community service. I have served on a variety of boards business, civic, philanthropic and for art education. One of my favorite projects has been as a founder of the Chehalem Cultural Center in Newberg. I have also been active In my family’s core businesses from an early age until the present. Currently I am the Chairman of the Austin Family Foundation and sit on the A-dec Board of Directors.I am also on the Newberg Downtown Coalition Board and the affordable housing committee. I have learned a the skills of renovation and interior design through experience. I started my own company LLP Properties in 2004 and I have renovated eleven buildings to date, nine of which are historic buildings. LLP Properties is also the mother company for ART Elements Gallery and my exclusive wine country vacation rentals, Lions Gate and The Lake House.ART Elements Gallery showcases Original Oregon Art with the representation of over 50 artists. Rotating Monthly exhibits and special events help promote and engage artists with the local community and visitors. I curated the ART of the Allison Inn and Spa while helping my mother build her dream. Having had the opportunity to teach art for 14 years in the public schools and working with artists through galleries I was given the opportunity to consultant for the collaboration of professional artists and students for the Providence Newberg Art Collection in 2008. Today, Art Elements Gallery is proudly curating the art for the new Providence Medical Center. Other projects include, the Jackson Family Headquarters and their vacation home at the Willakinzie Vineyard, NLAC offices, Hazelden Betty Ford, A-dec and Austin Industires.My personal and professional life are driven by the following:I believe that art is an essential part of human need and development and that creating, sharing, and enjoying the art builds community.I believe if you work hard, stay true to yourself while pursuing your dreams and give back ... you will be successful in what ever you do.My goal is to help revitalize historic downtown Newberg by building community, providing opportunity and growth through ART and business.
