I am a dedicated secondary science and technology educator passionate about integrating twenty-first-century technology and creative problem-solving into K-12 public education. I currently serve as the Phase I Lead Teacher at STEM School Chattanooga.Previously, as an ISM Project Lead and eLab Specialist, I successfully secured nearly $600,000 in grants and funding to enhance STEM education in Hamilton County. My commitment to experiential learning and early post-secondary exposure has led me to establish over twenty community partnerships, providing students with valuable, real-world experiences.I was recently awarded first place in the Community Research Division and received the Dean's Special Selection Award at the 2024 UTC Technology Symposium for my research funded by the NSF RET Site: Engineering and Data Analytics in Smart Cities. This year, I also received an honorable mention from the FAB STEM Foundation for my work in digital fabrication with a focus on social equity. Currently, I am an NSF Research Experience for Teachers participant and a Glowforge Education Ambassador.My past roles include PBL development for TSIN/Defined Learning, participating as a STEM Fellow through the Public Education Foundation, and serving as a Project Inspire Opportunity Culture Resident. I have also been awarded a Burns & McDonnell STEM Grant, a 2024 Fund for Teachers Fellowship, and was a 2024 Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Semi-finalist. Additionally, I participated in the TSIN Manufacturing and Engineering Externship Program (MEEP).
