The Daily Echo’s well-known and highly-regarded entertainments editor of 13 years, I oversee all entertainments coverage for our website and portfolio of newspapers and magazines. From celebrity interviews to travel features and from quirky news stories to theatre reviews, I regularly turn my hand to writing anything and everything related to the worlds of showbiz, lifestyle and entertainment.

I oversaw all coverage of our patch online and in the Fareham edition of the Daily Echo and managed a team of reporters in one of the paper’s regional offices. Reporting duties included court and council.

Maintained an excellent working relationship with all departments, driving commercial opportunities wherever possible. Maintained news gathering and reporting duties and nurtured readers and contacts, while overseeing various community campaigns.

My first newspaper job. A talent for news reporting quickly led to my being given responsibility for coverage in the Forest Journal edition of the Salisbury Journal, covering the New Forest. I worked closely with the news desk, photographers and editors, nurturing readers and contacts. I also subbed the sports pages on occasion.
