Insurance Co. of North America, which established the continuous trigger of coverage and upheld joint and several/pick and choose allocation. There, she fought to enforce general liability insurance policies for asbestos, pharmaceutical, and environmental liabilities. In one of the most significant matters in the 1990s, Lorie represented Dow Corning Corporation in international Bermuda Form arbitrations seeking to enforce liability insurance coverage for the company's $4 billion settlement of its silicone gel breast implant liability. As reported to the Bankruptcy Court in Michigan, the arbitration against XL Insurance Co., Ltd., settled on the eve of trial. All of the arbitraitons settled for 92% of policy limits. Lorie also handled many pro bono health insurance cases, helping her policyholder clients get life-saving care for breast cancer, multiple myeloma, and other cancers. Show less
