Sales Operations main tasks are to: • establish clear ownership within Sales and Marketing for ensuring overall definition and support of our post-sales processes • establish periodic sales surveys and user steering groups to ensure that ongoing improvements to our internal services are driven by the customers we serve • industrialize specific tasks which can be performed more efficiently through production centers and centers of excellence • consolidate reporting (Post-Sales) as far as possible into a global centralized processes • monitor and troubleshoot the order pipeline to minimize delayed revenue and cash flow • field management of the pipeline tracking tool "START" and associated reporting and analysis (START Development and Pipeline Reporting and Analysis is managed globally by Global Sales Effectiveness) • manage GAM transfers and associated reporting • maintain the company order book and ensure consistency of order booking policy We work closely with PS, Commercial Management and Legal. The In-Country Sales Operations staff report to Country Managers and have a functional responsibility into Global Sales Operations. Sales Operations is organised into (a) Regional teams, who work directly with the regions / business units, and (b) a number of more globally organised units who are responsible for supporting specific services at a global level.
