I am a partner in Fasken Martineau’s Vancouver office, practicing primarily in employment, human rights, labour and privacy Law. My employment practice has given me extensive experience in employment litigation, appearing at all levels of court in Canada. I advise on employment termination issues and administration of collective agreements, and represent employers at the Labour Board, at labour arbitrations, and in human rights complaints.In my privacy practice, I lead the firm's regional Privacy Practice Group and am a member of the Fasken Martineau’s national Practice Group on Privacy and Information Protection. I assist businesses to implement privacy policies and procedures, provide training, assist with access requests and provide timely and strategic advice in the event of a privacy breach.Outside of my day-to-day practice, I am a frequent speaker and avid author on all matters related to my legal expertise. In 2004, I co-authored a book entitled Personal Information Protection Act - British Columbia and Alberta: Quick Reference, updated with a new edition each year since, which outlines requirements in BC and Alberta with respect to the collection, use, disclosure and protection of personal information by organizations.
