I've been advising clients on climate change and greenhouse gas policies and regulations my entire career. That has positioned me well to co-chair Ballard Spahr's firm-wide Environmental, Social, and Governance group.I assist clients in a variety of environmental litigation matters and provide counsel on regulatory and transactional matters. I have been active in regulatory matters in the energy sector, including national rulemakings under the Clean Air Act and litigation in the D.C. Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court. I also counsel clients on oil and gas leasing and conveyancing matters. I handle environmental aspects of real estate and business transactions through the representation of lenders, developers, and underwriters, including counseling on issues relating to risks arising from potential environmental liabilities such as underground storage tanks and asbestos. My pro bono matters are a significant part of my every day work. My pro bono work focuses largely on immigration-related matters, including representing clients in their applications for asylum to the United States and defense of withholding from removal proceedings.
