As a sub-contractor for ENI, I supported the following challenging research projects in applied geophysics:- Tomographic velocity analysis using wide-azimuth data.- Near surface refraction tomography.- Velocity analysis by diffractions.- Applications of seismic slope estimation.- Multiple prediction and removal.- Pore pressure prediction.

Anisotropic Reflection Tomography. I spent several months to develop a robust forward modeling ray-based code to make seismic tomography affordable on real-data size problems. The main challenge is the multiparameter nature of the anisotropic behavior of wave propagation in the subsurface, that makes the problem more demanding from a computational standpoint.
