Assistant to the Associate Dean for Basic Research and Co-Director of the Institute for Fundamental Biomedical Research. Responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient preparation of grant applications, peer-reviewed manuscripts and manuscript reviews for IFBR faculty and postdoctoral associates. My responsibilities also include the preparation of all collaborative research proposals to be submitted to government and/or private sponsors. These duties include the compilation and formatting of pertinent data, figures, and reference information for successful grant application submissions. I am also responsible for assisting the Sponsored Research Office in facilitating the pre-award and post-award functions of all grant proposals to external sponsors via Just-in-Time (JIT) info, Notice of Grant Awards (NOGA), progress reports, and final reports. Other responsibilities include laboratory website oversight, preparation of letters of collaboration, promotion/evaluation, recommendation and other correspondence, in addition to delegation of miscellaneous duties to the backup administrative support staff. In this role, I am also instrumental in assisting faculty members with the mentoring of postdoctoral fellows in the preparation of abstract, manuscript and grant submissions, as well as meeting lectures and poster presentations. My position requires excellent multi-tasking skills and meticulous attention to detail.
