Achievements• Delivered key infrastructure project of renovation of 30% of the fleet via introduction of 3 new vessels on Manly route and 10 new River Class vessels on Parramatta route. This change represented the biggest change faced by the whole organisation in past 10 years, requiring stewardship of the team through extended and intense media attention, state election political issues and union issues arising from these vessel changes. • At the same time as COVID-19 illness peaked in Sydney in January 2022 implemented a 50% increase in services on Manly route in December 2021, significantly improving customer experience from faster and more frequent services.

Key Achievements• In parallel with business as usual, delivered 30% scale up of Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 2 operations. Full operations were achieved from the first day with no disruption, all contract targets met and profit expectations exceeded. This is an exceptional outcome for a complex rail system expansion project. • Drove a targeted cultural change program across the organisation to reduce employee injury statistics and achieved 75% reduction over 18 months. • Directed the faultless delivery of transport services during Commonwealth Games in April 2018, with a doubling of the workforce to over 500 people servicing three times the normal number of passengers services over a two-week period. Through extensive risk-based planning and 12 months of preparations the excellent outcomes delighted the QLD Department of Transport and the Transport Minister, who released a statement saying “G:link was one of the star performers of the GC2018 with trams carrying more than 1.1 million passengers”. Subsequently the planning for Stage 3 extension commenced on the back of this performance.
