As a driven and passionate junior studying biology with a focus on neuroscience, I am eager to explore all that the world of science has to offer. Growing up in a Dominican household, I was instilled with a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for the natural world. These values have led me to pursue a career in the life sciences, where I hope to make a meaningful impact on both human and animal health. My passions extend beyond the classroom as well. I believe in giving back to the community, whether it's donating food or organizing an event, and using my leadership and communication skills will make a positive difference in the world. In addition, as I have always been drawn to animals, I plan to volunteer at shelters and conservation organizations.Another hobby I possess is sports- basketball, swimming, volleyball, and more. Although I don't see myself playing any professionally, I believe that the principles of biology and neuroscience can be incorporated to enhance athlete performance and well-being.As I move forward in my academic and professional journey, I am eager to seek internships and opportunities in research, biology, veterinary practices, or marine science.
