• Trained, managed, and mentored 6 members of the bioengineering analyst team, leading daily team meetings and bi-weekly 1:1 meetings to evaluate strengths, project progress, and company-wide alignment of goals• Assisted the Clinical Liaison in preparing the protocol and other documents for IRB submission of a clinical study preparing for submission of 510(k) documentation to the FDA for medical device approval• Collaborated with R&D, Finance, Technical Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Design teams in weekly operations meetings through analysis and presentation of team metrics and data, and company-wide problem-solving sessions• Created and edited Standard Operating Procedures for team processes and ensure teamwide implementation

My project was to build a microscope system that could record videos and track mammalian cells traveling up the channels of an opaque wicking fiber. When completed, the system would give us an insight as to how cells travel vertically up the fiber and when calibrated, could be an early cancer diagnostic test. I got to design the clamp that holds the fiber vertically above a cell suspension and work with MATLAB to program the movement of the stage to image the fiber. At the end of the summer, a fellow research student and I presented our findings on a poster, attached below.
