Lori is dual board certified as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and an adult gerontology nurse practitioner. She is certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse practitioner (PMHNP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and an Adult - Gerontology Nurse Practitioner by American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Her nursing education began at Georgia Highland and she continued on to pursue a bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of West Georgia, and later she received a Master’s in Nursing at University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2014 & completed a second Master's in Nursing in 2020. She has over 26 years of experience in healthcare and has worked in various roles in critical care nursing, population health & wellness, chronic pain and addiction medicine, and community mental health. She recognizes mental health and physical health go hand in hand and has a passion to empower individuals to be a better self by providing a comprehensive evaluation, educating about their health disparities, and developing an individualized treatment plan to make the necessary changes.Lori is a lifelong resident of Rome and is committed to serving those in and surrounding her community.
