Teaching part time at PSU online classes of WS 101 and running my own business as a knitting/Spinning Entrepreneur. I have taught many classes for the Women's Studies departments at Portland State University and at the University of Iowa. I was a mentor in University Studies at PSU. I have taught Women's Studies 101, Gender, Race and Class, team taught Women of Color in the US. I love teaching. I hope to open a Women's Educational Resource Center someday.In my job as the coordinator for the ICCH labs, I trained staff and monitored their progress, coming up with ever changing ways to teach them how to enforce lab policy and to love their job. I have an MS in Education from PSU and I am currently working on the doctorate. My focus is Adult education and I believe education can be a tool for social justice. I feel I am following in the footsteps of those who attended the Highlander school in the 50's and learned non violent action during the civil rights movement. That tradition needs to be carried on and who better to do it than me.I was raised in Boston MA and moved to Portland in the summer of 1993.
