When people talk about me they say, "visionary," "strategic thinker," "can-do attitude" "team player" "positive" "professional" "smart" and "engaging leader." They also say "Jeopardy Champion!" I have a growth track record. Since becoming Executive Director of IVYP, our budget has grown from $2 million to $4 million annually. In that time, our Board of Trustees has worked deeply and intentionally on integrating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion into all decision-making. I have developed a strength-based organizational culture. I believe that staff do their best work when they feel safe and supported. I've built a high-functioning, and strongly passionate team of leaders. I am a trauma responsive leader who listens carefully and inspires others with my vision. In my work at CALM, I introduced the work of Dr. Nadine Burke Harris to funders in Santa Barbara County. This work led directly to SB County's innovative PERC collaborative, partnering pediatricians with mental health professionals to provide ACE screens and referrals. During my time at CALM, the organization's donor base and fundraising grew by more than 80%. Under my leadership, we launched the CALM for Kids campaign to grow mental health consultation throughout the county, as well as to develop and deepen partnerships with the pediatric community for early identification and intervention of children and families with high ACE scores.I have been a leader in Santa Barbara County's Child Abuse Prevention work, serving on the Resilient Santa Barbara County leadership team, the Executive Committee of Kids' Network, and on the current Prevention Panning team. I am proud of my 20+ years in non-profit management and development and my stellar reputation in both the Jewish community nationally and the Santa Barbara non-profit community locally.
