Job Search Services is a not for profit organization under the direction of Employment Nova Scotia. We assist people who are unemployed or underemployed to successfully attach to employment. In my role I have been involved in a number of pilot projects both under the direction of Employment Nova Scotia as well as within my organization. Most recently I have taken on the role of the Coordinator for the Employer Engagement series, which we run on a monthly basis. I have also been involved in developing or initiating resources for our Clients or helping them to access additional supports within the community at large.

Moirs Hershey Canada was a production facility that created many different types of chocolates. I was involved with Moirs during the Plant shut down, My role during this time included providing support to the Human Resources Office. This included tracking attendance, putting together retirement packages to eligible staff and other administrative duties. My role also included the Coordination and Implementation of a Job Fair. Beyond this my role was to provide information to employees on policies/procedures as well as Short Term Disability.

My role with Zellers pharmacy was largely an inventory management and staffing coverage throughout HRM. During this time I did fulfill the usual duties of a Pharmacy technician including filling prescriptions, compounding, customer resolution and meeting with Pharmacy reps. It was also during this time that I did a brief time at the Zellers Pharmacy in New Minas teaching the pharmacy staff the new computer system (Kroll) that the company had adopted during my time .
