Working within the Communications Team for World Cancer Research Fund, I manage the Web & Digital Team. Based in the UK, I am responsible for the management and technical development of digital for WCRF UK, Netherlands and Hong Kong.The Communications Team consists of the Web & Digital Team, Design Team and Press & PR. We collaborate with and provide support to the Fundraising, Science & Research and Health Information Teams, with the ongoing development of digital channels through which to maximise our impact and message.I am fortunate that I bring a background of both design and web development into this role, which equips me with the ability to work with web agencies and IT with a necessary wealth of understanding and insight. My role is extremely varied and brings many challenges which keep me on my toes, always developing and learning. I believe it's critical to one's development in a fast changing digital world to reflect and adapt.World Cancer Research Fund believes in promoting a healthy work environment, and a few of us hold free activities for colleagues. I contribute to this by holding occasional art workshops at lunchtime to offer space for a healthy mindful way to relax and switch off for a bit.I'm my spare time I love to do long distance walking especially coastal and country walks in the UK, and I paint, turning to traditional creativity as an antidote to digital. I set up Divine Creations with my business partner in 2006. We focused on website design, development, Wordpress, and traditional print and creative design. I now work full time for one of my original clients, World Cancer Research Fund, and put Divine into hibernation.
