In the position of Lead Manufacturing Engineer for two new high volume automated lines I am in charge of:• Taking lessons learned from sister facility in Mexico, and making improvements and upgrades to ensure these pitfalls were not carried over on the new lines• Machine and line buyoff with OEM’s and Integrators• Creating and updating the Potential Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA)• Installation of the lines in Moses Lake• Training Production Operators, Quality Auditors and Maintenance Technicians to take ownership of the lines• De-bug of the lines• Performed Design of Experiments (DoE) for welding, pressing, and crimping processes• Ran Production Validation (PV) builds• Worked with Design Engineers on improvements for manufacturability of the product• Start of Production and ramp plans• Getting the lines to full capacity for Production, through cycle time improvements, scrap reduction, downtime reduction, and lean improvements• Work with Maintenance Technicians on camera, PLC, and robotics troubleshooting• Work with all North America Plants to ensure horizontal deployment of all improvements• Showing the Lines to Customers, Corporate Visitors and Auditors
