Measuring magnetic remanence of sheet dyke samples from the Oman ophiolite to restore its pre-obduction structure, and anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility (AMS) analyses to constrain the directions of magmatic flow. Handheld X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis to measure whole-rock geochemistry of sheeted dyke samples to constrain the crystal fractionation trends of the magma, to understand the evolution of magma chemistry as it migrated away from a melt lens.

Research project with the Instituto Volcanológico de Canarias (INVOLCAN), looking at CO2 diffuse volcanic degassing monitoring in the North-West Rift Zone in Tenerife.Fieldwork: in-situ soil CO2 efflux measurements and collection of gas samples for chemical and isotopic analysis, fumarole sampling in the crater of Teide.Laboratory: performing chemical analysis and processing of the collected soil gas samples using micro-chromatography (microGC) and quadrupole mass spectrometry (QMS).Co-author on EGU 2024 abstract "Twenty three years of monitoring diffuse CO2 emission from the Tenerife North-West Rift Zone (NWRZ) volcano, Canary Islands".

Lived in-community in Kenya, as part of International Citizenship Service (DFID). Visited youth groups in partnership with government entities to advise and provide training in enterprise skills, aiming to build a resilient, sustainable economy in Mwatate sub-county.Collaborated with other volunteers to plan and host an entrepreneurship event for local businesses to showcase products. Over 900 attendees, allowing participants to secure trade and future funding opportunities.Facilitated business skills sessions and produced accompanying resources, streamlining the process of lesson planning for future volunteers, in line with UN Sustainable Development Goals 1, 4 & 8.
