Responsible for: -life cycle planning (cradle to grave) -requirements development / refinement -research and development -budget planning / execution -contracting strategy -system integration / development -test / evaluation -fielding -training -maintenance / sustainment TEAM LEADER Led and mentored a cross-functional team of eleven government, military and contractor personnel. Built partnerships and collaborated with external stakeholders including the National Reconnaissance Office, National Security Agency and Army Intelligence Command. Led a team of four engineers with expertise in the fields of orbital mechanics, satellite design, intelligence networks, systems engineering and software coding. INTEGRATED MASTER SCHEDULEConsolidated the development of 11 projects into one Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for the AMDAS program. Identified the critical path within the IMS and instituted a measure to quicken the program's schedule. Worked the testing and materiel development paths in parallel, shortening the overall fielding schedule by six months. RESULTSRated in evaluation report as an exceptional leader, team builder and problem solver with sound judgment and critical thinking skills. INTEGRATED BASE DEFENSE PROJECTResponsible for the cost, schedule and performance of the Integrated Base Defense base effort at the Rapid Equipping Force, a $45M system. The project included the engineering and scheduling needed to integrate a FLIR Star SAFIRE sensor, remote ground sensors, three different types of Unmanned Arial Vehicles (UAVs), the Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (CROWS), water purification, hybrid (solar) energy and biometric scanners. Worked closely with engineers and contractors to ensure development was realistic given the Rapid Equipping Force’s fast paced acquisition mission. Identified risks to timelines and took measures to mitigate schedule risk as required. Demonstrated system to Army G-3 (Operations). Deployed system to Iraq within 11 months of being assigned the project. RESULTSPlanned and managed the scheduling, cost and performance of the largest number (100+) and most complex projects at the Rapid Equipping Force. Praised as the best acquisition officer at the Rapid Equipping Force. Rated in the top 5% of all officers for outstanding mission focus, support to Soldiers, maturity and professional acumen. Spearheaded rapid integration of 33 systems into one coherent Integrated Base Defense system.
