I am a Structural Engineer in Arup's Buildings team in London. I have experience in existing buildings, structural assessments, life-cycle assessments, advanced finite element analysis and mechanical design. I've detailed Inspection & Monitoring plans for a Grade I listed structure; written specifications for intrusive investigation works, performed structural calculations and analysis assessing existing listed buildings and infrastructure; created and analysed seismic models for the Sagrada Familia, houses and timber barns in the Netherlands; performed vibrations surveys for a hospital's new MRI unit; analysed fatigue and assessed weld design for a moving stadium roof and aluminium suspension bridge; designed foundations for a novel offshore wind turbine which has since been built.My ambition is to use science & technology to make a positive and lasting impact on the world. I am a STEM Ambassador and was a volunteer tutor with The Access Project. I am passionate about encouraging and supporting young people to pursue a career in STEM. I aspire to work at the fore-front of technology, pushing boundaries in all realms of engineering such as sustainability, renewable energy, disaster mitigation.I enjoy taking on new responsibilities and activities in my spare time. I'm an amateur boxer and a language enthusiast. I took an intensive Mandarin language course at Beijing Language & Culture University, learned french over the past 2 years and am now conversational in both Mandarin and French. Working on learning Tagalog and connecting with my heritage!
