I successfully completing my studies in MSci Forensic Investigation at the University of South Wales with a distinction during 2021. Immediately securing a position as VCSI in South Wales Police - JSIU later in the year. Over 25 years of work experience in several fields including Hospitality, Management, Community/Voluntary sector. Skills developed over the years include, organizational, financial management, people skills, research and report writing, networking and multi-agency approaches, grassroots approach, project management.Skills that have been gained and developed during my time at both University and my current role include are Volume and Major Crime, Crime Scene Management, Crime Scene Photography, Laboratory skills and use of a variety of equipment, evidence retrieval including fingerprints, DNA Swabs, fibre lifts, trace evidence, adapting and working outside of my comfort zone successfully. Analysing evidence and producing, accurate precise contemporaneous notes to a high standard. Aware of both the ISO 17020 and 17025 standards for both Crime Scene and Laboratory settings.A current member of The Chartered Society of Forensic Science.
