The principal tasks I undertook in this position were booking patient appointments, answering telephone calls, as well as liaising with and handling patient enquires. In addition, I maintained the tidiness of the reception area, processed customer payments and maintained patient records. Once a month at staff meetings I was also held responsible for taking the minutes and circulating to all appropriate departments. As new employees came through I did assist with the training process. This position negated only the highest level of customer service as well as the ability to multi task, both of which I excel in.

As a 2IC I supported the manager in the running and upkeep of the store to ensure it runs at optimum potential. Customer service and sales was a large part of my role, and this job has given me the experience and confidence to adapt to different customers and situations. My role also involved opening and closing the store, including filling out end of day paperwork and fixing any discrepancies, working to budgets and KPI's, working with the store manager to strategically plan better sales results, travelling to other stores to help when required, receiving and unpacking stock, optimising sales, up keeping store displays and training new staff that come through.

My main responsibility was to bring exceptional customer service to all of our customers, through standard customer service, cash handling and use of registers and POS system. As a senior shop assistant I was required to manage a small team of staff and delegate task to ensure the smooth running of the store. I was also responsible for receiving and unpacking stock and closing the store. Through all these duties though, the most important responsibility I had was to make sure that I delivered quality customer service each and every time.
