I manage multiple teams delivering application, project, testing and training support of hospital administrative and clinical systems. I am responsible and accountable for the delivery of an efficient operational service which includes the provision of user support to administrative and medical professionals in a large busy hospital environment working to tight deadlines. As a line manager I develop and support staff as well as dealing with any human resource and well-being issues that are escalated to me. My role also involves managing a team that handles the data integrity of electronic health records ensuring quality and confidentiality of patient records. I develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency of process and knowledge across our teams.

I was responsible for the delivery of application, testing and project support of hospital administrative and clinical systems. I provided line management to a small team of staff, planning and resourcing both operational and project activities. I also provided cover for the delivery of system training for operational and project activities in-line with customer demand and development of new system functionality.

I was responsible for the delivery of administrative and clerical processes associated with the Radiology Outpatient and Inpatient services at the NOC. I line managed a large team of administrative staff providing reception, appointment, transcription and secretarial services to support patient care. I monitored patient waiting times and performance objectives to ensure patients were treated within national guidelines and liaised regularly with medical professionals and patients to deal with escalated issues and complaints. I provided maintenance support for the Radiology Administrative System (CRIS).

I was responsible for supporting the Directorate Manager in the achievement of all patient elective access targets. I actively monitored and interpreted data to identify patient waiting times for outpatient treatment and elective surgery. I liaised closely with consultants, medical/nursing staff and secretaries to develop access plans for any patient at risk of breach. I managed a team of clerical staff responsible for effective delivery of the appointments and waiting list service.

I was responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of admin and clerical staff supporting users of the PAS (Patient Administration System) and hospital clinical intranet. I coordinated the delivery of a comprehensive training service for medical and clerical staff and monitored a helpdesk supporting 5,000 system users within the Trust. I provided specialised knowledge for the resolution of complex issues and an advisory service for access procedures and data quality standards. I chaired a user group for administrative service supervisors to provide peer support and improve data quality and system knowledge.

I provided guidance and support for users of the PAS (Patient Administration System), resolving all application queries and requests via a helpdesk. I prepared and delivered Trust-wide system training and data quality courses to groups of staff and on a one-to one basis.

I supervised a large team of clerical staff in a patient critical department, actively dealing with patients presenting with both minor and major injuries and medical issues. I was responsible for staff rotas, ensuring 24-hour cover of the Emergency Dept reception desk and associated Trauma & Orthopaedic clinics. I liaised with senior managerial staff and medical professionals to coordinate the administration of patient care.

I provided administrative support for Cardiology outpatients including the booking of appointments and clinic reception duties. I liaised with patients and medical staff to resolve patient queries and issues
