After 12 years at R Collins & Co I have worked my way up to Office Manager so in addition to still being a Commercial Account Handler and dealing with the majority of the commercial book of business I have also incorporated the following as part of my new role:-• Using Management Information to assess and identify staff Training Needs• Provide in house staff training for new employees and existing employees moving into a new area of learning• Monitoring staff sickness records, attendance records and holiday entitlement• Acting as a sounding board to staff for any issues or problems they have and liaising this back to the directors if required• Staff observed sales• File audits• Attending Management Meetings and holding weekly staff briefings • Authorised signature on Company Bank Account

As the Commercial Account Handler and Team Leader for R Collins & Co my responsibilities include:-• Dealing with all classes of Commercial Business including Commercial Combined, SME, Fleet, Motor Trade, Liabilities, Marine, Engineering, Professional Indemnity• Looking after the Company Directors complete book of business• Liaising with clients to make appointments and discuss demands and needs• Marketing risk presentations to a vast number of insurers• When required I also deal with Personal Lines insurance – Motor, household and travel• Expert in Open-I, Open Attach, Open Print Manager, Powerplace, and Insurer own quote engines• Negotiating rates and underwriting with insurance companies at New Business and Renewal stage• Renewal handling for all the company’s commercial clients• Claims Handling• Complaint Handling• Dealing with customers face to face, via telephone and email• Issuing of compliant documents to clients • Ensuring only the highest quality of work within the department • Month and Year End Reports• Daily Banking processes
