Throughout my graduate studies, I had the opportunity to design and optimize new synthetic routes for the creation of a novel class of nucleoside analogues bearing an all-carbon quaternary center that exhibits cardioprotective properties and biological activity against solid tumor cancers. Two patent applications were filed to protect this new family of molecules. I gained expertise in stereoselective reactions, SAR studies, photoaffinity labeling and free-radical chemistry.Since I started working at the Drug Discovery Unit (IRIC), I have developed an extensive chemical intuition in synthetic chemistry and have attained a working experience in the field of medicinal chemistry. Moreover, I particularly enjoy the challenges associated with therapeutic drug development and I find great satisfaction in resolving synthetic problems.I am a dedicated, enthusiastic and meticulous chemist with strong interpersonal skills looking forward to a dynamic and challenging career within the pharmaceutical industry.
