Louis was seconded to the Midstream Permits and Approvals Team for the QCLNG Project through ERM. As a member of the Permits and Approvals Team, Louis was required to identify, research, prepare, apply for, monitor and negotiate the various permits and approvals associated with the Cutis Island LNG development. Whilst working on the QCLNG Project Louis undertook a wide variety of inter-related assignments which fed into the larger Client-directed project. These inter-related projects included liaising directly with clients and Government representatives through both structured and informal means, generating appropriate solutions to planning and permitting problems, legislation research and interpretation, engaging in problem solving situations, project management, regular liaison with a wide range of State Government Departments, and communicating with colleagues and clients to achieve the optimal permit/approval outcome for the wider Project.During his tenure with the Permits and Approvals Team at QGC, Louis was integral in the approval of all ‘Early Works Permits’ and ‘Other Works Permits’ which have contributed to the sanction and commencement of the QCLNG Project on Curtis Island, Gladstone.
