In a core-team developing Plants in Space as a market-leader in living wall maintenance and installation across London and the U.K. Working in some of the most prestigious properties and hotels alongside public interior and exterior spaces, Plants in Space combines innovative design, horticulture knowledge and artistic invention to create beautiful plant installations.

Working in the core team supporting this living wall start-up with the maintenance and installation of units for prestigious clients across London. Working with a range of different living wall construction styles, I developed good relationships with clients, honed my knowledge of irrigation systems and increased my plant knowledge.

Rural Urban Synthesis Society (theruss.org) is a volunteer-led Community Land Trust based in south London, founded in 2009 with the mission of creating sustainable neighbourhoods and genuinely affordable homes. Their aim is to bring together people and nature to build a more mutually beneficial world and in their first project is developing 33 self-build, co-designed Passivhaus homes for Lewisham.

In my role I work in the lab supporting the implementation of Green Arcola’s waste wood heating system as they strove to become the first zero carbon arts institution in Britain. Working alongside Arcola Energy and Transition Technologies, I have worked to develop systems and procedures using permaculture design practices and working closely with Arcola theatre staff and suppliers.

Studying permaculture and sustainability in an urban planning and design context at the prestigious Bartlett College of Planning, UCL.Working directly with Peterborough City Council to design their Circular Economy model as an Environment City UK.Specialising in the conceptualisation and application of the Ecosystem Services approach to place-making and integrating nature in urban areas. For my dissertation project, I mapped the Cultural Ecosystem Services of the London canal network through engaging London boaters in participatory design. Becoming accomplished applying urban design tools to map and model urban environments communicating design responses to issues around urban sustainability.

In concord with my work developing the Gaia boat project, I was also employed by Canal & River Trust - the waterways authority. In this role I worked to support the development of the 'Friends' scheme - encouraging canal-users to become more active in the restoration and development of waterways across Britain. I hosted a number of different canal events across the country, on behalf of the Fundraising team, working directly to support the celebration and regeneration of canals and rivers.
