Dyson's agile New Concepts team, operating without the definition of a specific category, working on the goal to cause the greatest disruption to industry thinking.Conceptualising, testing, and kick-starting multi-£billion projects through developing core-technologies and product applications.Working cross category, from Dyson’s existing categories (wearables, floor care, environmental care, hair care, lighting) to exploring and developing new categories.

Working in Dyson's "engine room" to create the next generation of industry disruptive floorcare products. The floorcare category, rooted in Dyson's origins, enjoys a fast paced environment owing to it's continued successes and rich legacy. NPI floorcare spearheads the product design pipeline, continuing to pioneer innovation despite the maturity of the category. Experience:• Taking responsibility for my contributions, and presenting to stakeholders including James Dyson and senior leaders from across the business. Able to produce high quality output under time constraints. Able to effectively communicate technical information to people from non-technical backgrounds. Capable and tested communication skills.• Collaborating with multiple cross-team stake holders on a global scale to further product development for business alignment and technology validation.• Flexibility in CAD modelling. From rapid to detailed modelling, moving with the pace of the project is key. Anticipating future needs of the project to select the most appropriate level of model robustness. Regularly employ solid, volumetric, surface, and parametric modelling skills. • development, test, and iteration with prototype design, using well established test methods and developing new test methods where a precedent does not exist. Informed design direction with regular validation.• Owning separation system assembly components, collaborating with stakeholders to agree performance objectives, and coordinating with research teams to create new cutting-edge technology that satisfies multi-faceted targets (including considerations for performance and product integration).• onboarding suppliers to achieve our goals and prepare the designs for manufacture. Collaborating with our Malaysia manufacturing departments to ensure designs are able to meet targets as they move downstream.
