I’m a consultant in the arena of improvement, much more on radical disruptive improvement to promote quantum breakthroughs. This is achieved through systems analysis and simplicity principles that are a way to move from the actual paradigms of complexity and sofistication. Previously I worked as Operations Director in Food & Beverage Industry (wine and spirits), with more than 25 years of experience in this area, that includes Production, Quality & Environ. Management, H&S, Maintenance, Purchasing and Logistics. I have worked 7 years on Auto Industry in a 1st tier OEM Supplier, on R&D, Process Improvement and Quality Management.My background is in Chemical Engineering with an MBA in General Management and a Masters Degree (MSc) in Management, with a thesis on “Securitization of Credit”I am a TOC(Theory of Constraints) praticioner since 2003 certified by TOCICO (TOC Int. Certific. Organiz. ). I consider TOC as the "Queen" of improvement / management philosophies in organizations and the most radical in it's aproach.I have also knowledge and respect for other methodologies like Lean Manufacturing (previously TPS) and 6Sigma (previously TQM) and in the last years I have tried to integrate and applied these best methods in a TLS (TOC, Lean, Sigma) approach which I think is the best way to attack and solve organizational problems. I have teaching experience since 2007 in these areas, and special interest in continuous improvement practices in various types of industries and services. Since 2016 I have developed with CLT Services the only TOC course in Portugal - the MBA TOC4U. In 2013 I begun the experience of writing books, based on my experience of organizational improvement philosophies.
