Louis A. Prado received a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering at Arizona State University where he served as IEEE Student Chairman. After graduating, he worked for Mircochip Technologies' R&D department where he developed analog and digital integrated circuits and numerous PIC microcontrollers. After being promoted to Principal Design Engineer, Mr. Prado left Microchip to join Neolinear Inc. Neolinear was a Carnegie Mellon University start-up that used genetic-based and proprietary algorithms to automate design of challenging integrated circuits. This opportunity allowed him to improve mixed-signal integrated circuit designs at nearly every major semiconductor company. In 2004 Neolinear was acquired by Cadence Design Systems.During his graduate studies, Mr.Prado was responsible for the electromagnetic interference/compliance and alpha-particle upset detection/correction of a NASA-sponsored low earth orbit satellite. His employment at Neolinear also allowed him to work on numerous communication circuits and his eventual entrepreneurial roles required significant IT skills. This background made him well suited to work for an Information Technology start-up, Endeka (acquired by Boingo) where he would eventually serve as Vice President. Lou performed his work at the FBI, FLETC, and other law enforcement agencies. In his most recent role, Lou Prado is the Founder and CEO of BlueMate Labs, Inc. (Delaware C-Corp), a company focused on the Smarthome industry. He spends his time developing Bluetooth Low Energy firmware (IAR Workbench), designing hardware, and writing Android and iOS Apps. Because he enjoys developing software, he also maintains a developer role at a leading SAAS company (acquired by Berkshire Hathaway 2016). He codes in C#, T-SQL, and HTML5 APIs in Microsoft's .NET Framework. In July of 2018 Lou Prado moved his company from from the San Francisco Bay Area to San Diego, California where he now resides.
