My current position allows me to meet with clients in both corporate and social realms and providing them with banquet facilities. It is also my duty to support the sales managers here in administrative functions. I also prospect new accounts over the internet, and develop marketing strategies with the sales team.

I enjoy working for the Embassy Suites in Livonia, a proud member of the Hilton family. It is an all-suites hotel, maintaining over 200 rooms each facing the central atrium. A main priority as a Guest Services Agent is checking guests in and out of the hotel, as well as communicating needs and requests between various staff members and departments. It was my responsibility as a member of the front desk team to make sure that guests are not only satisfied, but that they are pleasantly surprised with their quality of their accomodations. I considered it my goal to go above and beyond their expectations with every encounter I had with every person who stays in this hotel.

As Project Manager for the Support Solutions division of VerbalWise, I design and compile online newsletters for my clients, for them to stay on top of their contacts' minds. I gather all required information, sometimes writing and/or editing articles for use in their monthy or bimonthly news, depending on their needs. I also submit these articles to trade journals they subscribe to, or forward press releases to various news outlets. I also maintain follow-up campaigns on behalf of my clients. When they meet several new prospects while networking, I develop letter templates so that they can follow-up without spending much time (or money) to do so. I also do other various support activities, such as preparing and conducting surveys, internet research, transcribing notes, and creating PowerPoint presentations. The Residence Inn is a part of Marriott International, as all-suites properties designed for long-term staying guests. As a Front Desk Representative at the Residence Inn in Ann Arbor, it was my main responsibility to check guests in and out of the hotel. Often it was my sole discretion to decide how to communicate and solve issues between the Front Desk staff, Maintenance, Housekeeping, Management, and guests themselves. I also supported sales efforts, by makinga and editing reservations over the phone and touring rooms to prospective guests in person. I was heavily depended on to execute various concierge duties to assist guests in any way necessary. The Marriott slogan was to do "Whatever it takes", but I have since made it my personal slogan as well.
