As the president and co-founder of Syncrety, I work with our team to bring whole-solution consulting, digital transformation services, implementation and support, as well as augmented IT to the small and medium enterprise (SME) space... we love the standardization and resilience of enterprise IT concepts that we are able to bring to our SME customers.

My role here was a continuation of what I did at VODA (Graycon purchased VODA Computer Systems).

Defined various, scalable IT process standards and created associated technical documentation for technicians supporting small businesses (server-based companies usually up to 100 systems), along with various service products in this market space. Created and maintained numerous scripts and small utilities, and application repositories for technical staff. Supported small businesses with Microsoft-based infrastructure technologies, implementing and supporting hardware and software solutions including Windows desktop and server operating systems, business productivity software (both Microsoft and 3rd party proprietary systems), and all other technology-related needs of small business customers. Evaluated various products, produced review and sales documentation. Spearheaded business process reform internally, pushing for increasing efficiencies, centralizing and sharing business data, and unifying business and IT staff objectives. Provided process training to internal technical staff along with some mentoring.

Supported small businesses with Microsoft-based infrastructure technologies, implementing and supporting hardware and software solutions including Windows desktop and server operating systems, business productivity software (both Microsoft and 3rd party proprietary systems), and all other technology-related needs of small business customers. Used enterprise approaches and philosophies of IT learned while working at EDS/Weyerhaeuser, scaled down to the small business.

Worked up from Level 2 to Level 4 support in first 2 years with EDS. Created and assembled many standard best practice documents for the various central teams who support the enterprise environment. Wrote and maintained various scripts and programs that performed automated tasks on computers and servers in the enterprise. Assisted with virus management and emergency routines when the enterprise network was infected. Created automatic disaster recovery information-gathering processes to be used in servers throughout the enterprise. Acted as escalation point for various server- and workstation-related issues. Assisted in creating and maintaining standard processes for migrating servers across the enterprise from Windows NT4 and Novell to Windows 2000 Server.
