My primary role as a GSP Engineer is to serve as a technical specialist supporting Rain Bird’s Golf and Commercial Systems with a strong emphasis in the area of Information Technology. Responsibilities include:• Rapid troubleshooting determination of potentially complex equipment or field issues that may be impacting proper operation of customer equipment.• Provide problem resolution on first call basis in ambiguous situations using creative problem solving skills.• Initiative to identify possible product issues and ability to convey that to product management and engineering as necessary.• Participate in the GSP 24 hour On-Call Engineer rotation.• Prepare and conduct training both on site and in a classroom environment.• Team project participation and self directed research and development of service technologies as they apply to golf, commercial, and pump support.• Configure network devices and computer systems in order for Rain Bird Mobile Interface software to communicate securely via web-enabled devices.ACCOMPLISHMENT: Assigned as the technology liaison and consultant between Rain Bird Corporation and High 5 Software in order to assist with the GSP department's implementation of Enterprise Service Management software and database migration.

My work as a Test and Evaluation Engineer with one of the nation's leading Defense Contractors helps the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) become the leader in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) testing.Responsibilities include:• Create a way ahead for advanced SOA testing and standard net-centric test practices.• Develop new test practices for loosely-coupled, service-oriented (net-centric) capabilities.• Institute new standard practices to support the rapid provisioning of net-centric capabilities to the Global Information Grid (GIG).• Develop a net-centric assessment methodology and assessment report template.• Advise and assist assessment personnel as they execute net-centric assessments.• Work with team members to collect and analyze assessment progress and results.ACCOMPLISHMENT: Designed and maintained a virtual testing environment capable of supporting and adapting to the increasing demands of the customer's testing requirements
